MS Admiral Tegetthoff: theme cruises in July
The MS Admiral Tegetthoff offers a number of great themed cruises in July 2023. The biggest ABBA songs and Smörgasbord, a typical Swedish buffet, will be available on July 7 as part of the Swedish night of ABBA hits. On Thursday, July 13, the ship invites you to the « Greek Night ». A live Greek band led by Olga Kessaris creates a good atmosphere on board, while Mediterranean delicacies such as tzatziki, souvlaki, keftedes, moussaka & Co. pamper the palate. Pasta, pizza & tiramisu – a relaxed Italo evening with suitable musical accompaniment can be experienced with the « Italian Night » on Saturday, July 22nd.
MS Wien: Heurigen trips with Viennese songs
Every Thursday at 7 p.m., the MS Wien goes on the popular Heurigen cruise with Viennese songs. At the beginning of the journey, when the guests help themselves to the excellent buffet, Viennese musicians play discreetly in the background. After the meal, the band goes from table to table and fulfills the traditional musical wishes of the guests. The buffet offers cold & warm Heurigen specialties with typical Viennese delicacies such as schnitzel, spreads, apple strudel and cakes.
MS Kaiserin Elisabeth: Highlights in July
On July 12th and 26th the new Sunset Barbecue Cruise will take place on board the MS Kaiserin Elisabeth. The spacious sun deck of the imposing MS Kaiserin Elisabeth invites you to an aperitif in front of an impressive backdrop with a 360-degree panoramic view of the Vienna skyline and the rich buffet offers delicious grilled specialties. The sunset is accompanied by entertaining live music, each on different dates, by the powerful-voiced Caroline Kreutzberger, Saxolad and Daniela Krammer or the band « Lady & The Keys ». The crowning highlight of the evening summer cruise is the colorful fireworks display organized by the DDSG Blue Donau.
On July 16, 2023 at 11 a.m., the DDSG Blue Donau will be hosting the « Boozy Brunch ». Delicious brunch cocktails such as Bloody Mary, Mimosa, Prosecco or non-alcoholic drinks are offered against the impressive backdrop of the Vienna skyline. Brunch fans will get their money’s worth with the large selection at the buffet: Whether sweet or savory, from classic egg dishes to fresh fruit and yoghurt variations, there is something for both meat lovers and vegetarians. The powerful-voiced Caroline Kreutzberger accompanies the brunch cruise with energetic live music.
Musical favorites up close with a panoramic view of the Vienna skyline: On the new theme cruise « Musical Stars in Concert » on the DDSG Blue Donau, passengers can experience three musical greats up close from July 2023 and enjoy the idyllic evening cruise with a view of the Vienna Waterfront. Dutch-born Maya Hakvoort will kick things off on July 17, 2023. A three-course meal will round off the cultural spectacle on the Danube waves.
